MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 14, 2010 MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF POQUOTT HELD AT 7:00 P.M. AT VILLAGE HALL
Present was Mayor Barbara Donovan, Trustees Carol Lane, Sandy Nicoletti and Christine Vitkun. Also present was Village Attorney and six residents. K. Matthews was excused.
A motion was made by S. Nicoletti seconded by C. Lane to pay bills totaling $16,076.32, $65.00 and $49.86. Aye S. Nicoletti, C. Lane, C. Vitkun and B. Donovan. Nay 0.
2010/2011 Budget
Discussed the upcoming budget, trustees are to work on their recommendations. It was suggested that money be budgeted for small claims assessment review petitions (for tax grievances) when the village has been included in this grievance.
Comprehensive Master Plan
Roger Flood, Chairman of the comprehensive master plan committee is currently away. A informational meeting needs to be scheduled after a presentation to the Board.
Other Business
Dog Park: Informational meeting to be held on January 28th 2010 at the Setauket Fire Department on Main Street. The informational part of the meeting will be held from 7:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. with the regular Board meeting to follow. A notice of the meeting will be placed on our website and a post card to be mailed to the residents.
Stormwater: This years filing form is still not available. C. Lane to meet with Carrie O’Farrell of Nelson and Pope, possibly in February, to go over the new requirements.
New Building Permit Application: Once Peter Sverd has reviewed and approved the proposed changes the new applications will be available on our website.
New Business
Trustee Responsibility Reassignments: C. Lane will now be responsible for Grounds Maintenance and K. Matthews will now be responsible for Drains.

Since the work is almost complete at Village Hall we should consider having an open house for our residents.
The Fire District is still charging the $125.00 a month maintenance fee, we are to apply for the gulf gas card for our public safety vehicles.
The Village Historian is moving out of the village, anyone interested or knows of someone that might be interested, the position will be available. When we receive the pictures from the recent display at the Port Jefferson Village center a plaque recognizing M. Sabatelli contribution should be placed at Village Hall with the pictures.
Permits: No new permits.

Residents Comments:
- Resident: If our garbage collection falls on a holiday, do they pickup the garbage on the following day? Response: Yes.
- Resident: Who is our landscaper? Response: Pristine Property Care, LTD.
- Resident: Thank you for filing the pothole on Van Brunt Manor Road.
- Resident: How long will the informational meeting be on January 28th 2010? Response: We will schedule the informational meeting from 7:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.
- Resident: We should put a chain and a lock on the tennis court entrance.
- Resident: Regarding the Stormwater report the County may have information regarding the new requirements.
