MINUTES OF THE APRIL 26, 2007 MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD AT 7:00 P.M. AT VILLAGE HALL
Present Mayor Barbara Donovan, Trustees Carol Castillo, Sandra Nicoletti, Christine Vitkun, absent Trustee Carol Lane. Also present Treasurer John Lane, Village Attorney Peter Sverd and 6 residents.

The proposed budget was read by the Clerk.

Minutes of the March 8, 2007 meeting were accepted as written on a motion by C. Castillo, seconded by C. Vitkun, Aye C. Castillo, S. Nicoletti, C. Vitkun, B. Donovan, Nay 0.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS, COMMISSIONERS AND COMMITTEES
TREASURES REPORT
The Treasurers report was reviewed. A motion to accept the Treasurers report as given was made by C. Castillo, seconded by C. Vitkun, Aye C. Castillo, S. Nicoletti, C. Vitkun, B. Donovan, Nay 0.
CAROL CASTILLO- Trustee for Roads, Roadsides and Parks
- Parks—a) Walnut—storm debris cleaned up.
b) Trustees—fibar replacement being looked into
2) Roads—pothole map has been prepared and will be forwarded to the Town for action.
Public comments
- Resident—will the beach lines be replaced? Ans. the lines will need to be stored until it can be determined whether a beach permit can be issued.
- Resident—then there will be no beach lines? Ans. not in immediate plans, but the “No Wake”bouys will be placed.
- Resident—will porta-lavs be installed? Ans. Yes.
CHRISTINE VITKUN—Trustee for Finance, Village Hall and Waste Management
- General Code—acknowledgement of receipt of policies received.
- Waste Management—complaints received re; garbage in front of #4 Indian Valley not being picked up—will be referred to the commissioner.

CAROL LANE—Trustee for Environment and Shore Lines
( report given by B. Donovan)
- Harbor Commission—J.Lane reported that the Harbor Commission will be scheduling a meeting soon.
- VanBrunt Beach—clam boat floated onto the beach during the last storm.
- Broadwater—the firm has purchased property in Pt. Jeff. to use as a base for construction.

- Resident—the Village should put the May 7 Broadwater meeting on the website.
SANDRA NICOLETTI-Trustee for Public Safety & VanBrunt Manor Beach
- Public Safety—several car break-ins have been reported, a dog bit a resident, SCPD will be in the Village to issue speeding tickets.
Public comments
- Attorney—very few summonses have been issued in the last few months.
ATTORNEY—The LIPA/Keyspan settlement is still not concluded. Efforts are being taken to have the parties separately fund the $100,000.00 for the Village Hall renovations. The bid package for California Park is almost complete. The Article 78 is still pending.
OTHER BUSINESS
- Park attendants—must place ad in local paper. Clerk will take care of this.
- California Park Permits—D.E.C. still hasn’t responded yet. N.Y.S. will be responding soon as will the Army Corps. Of Engineers. The Town hasn’t responded yet to our communication.
- Steve’s Path—engineer’s report due in soon.
NEW BUSINESS
- The budget was approved on a motion by C. Castillo, seconded by C. Vitkun, Aye C. Castillo, S. Nicoletti, C. Vitkun, B. Donovan, Nay 0.
April 26,2007 continued
- The Board approved the attendance of the Mayor and Trustee Nicoletti at the NYCOM annual meeting in Saratoga Springs on a motion by C. Castillo, seconded by C. Vitkun, Aye C. Castillo, S. Nicoletti, C. Vitkun, B. Donovan Nay 0.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M. on a motion by C. Vitkun.
