MINUTES OF THE MARCH 22, 2007 MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF POQUOT HELD AT VILLAGE HALL AT 7:00 P.M.
Present Deputy Mayor Carol Lane, Trustees Carol Castillo, Sandra Nicoletti, Christine Vitkun; absent Mayor Barbara Donovan. Also present Village Attorney Peter Sverd and two residents.

The Clerk read the bids for the 2007-2008 landscape contract:
1) Olivers Greenfields--                    $ 15624.00
2) Daniel Welischar Landscaping     $ 14200.00
3) Red Clover Landscaping              $ 28000.00
4) Pristine Property Care                  $ 8745.00
The representative from Red Clover stated that the Board should be sure that the landscaper they chose was certified by the DEC. He stated that he was certified and has been in business since 1995.
The representative from Pristine Property Care stated that he too was certified and has been in business since 1986. He bid low to get a toehold in the area and to get exposure for his company in the north shore area. After discussion the Board put off a decision until the next meeting.
The Minutes of the 2/08/2007 meeting were accepted as corrected on a motion by C. Castillo, seconded by C. Lane; Aye C. Castillo, C. Lane, S. Nicoletti, C. Vitkun, Nay 0.

TREASURERS REPORT
The Treasurers report was accepted as presented on a motion by C. Vitkun, seconded by C. Castillo, Aye C. Castillo, C. Lane, S. Nicoletti, C. Vitkun, Nay 0.
The Board reviewed the income and expenses year to date with the Treasurer.

REPORT OF OFFICERS, COMMISSIONERS AND COMMITTEES
CAROL CASTILLO—Trustee for Roads, Roadsides and Parks
1) ROADS—there is a washout alongside of Indian Valley Road at the intersection of Silver Beech Court. That needs to be filled. Clerk will contact handyman to fill the washout.
Public Comments—none.
CHRISTINE VITKUN—Trustee for Finance, Village Hall and Waste Management
1) GENERAL CODE—discussion on two items still incomplete from the work session of  March 17, 2007 resulted in the following; Pg. 23 of the analysis select the first sample of verbiage, Pg. 12 as follows—conform to legal requirements under NYS Law regulating the operation of motor vessels and personal water craft.
2) WASTE MANAGEMENT—the carter has been leaving garbage cans in the middle of the street. Commissioner will be notified.
3) WEBSITE—contact page will be corrected.

CAROL LANE—Trustee for Environment and Shore Lines

1. DRAINS—complaint on drain at Steve’s Path being handled by engineers.
2. HARBOR—meeting held on 3/12/07—new patrol boat ordered, pump out boats due to arrive soon, marina is being dredged.
3. BROADWATER—Towns and County fighting Broadwater in court.

Public Comments—none.
SANDRA NICOLETTI—Trustee for Public Safety & Van Brunt Manor Beach

1. PUBLIC SAFETY—all patrols have been routine.
2. EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS—need to get table top exercise moving.

Public Comment—none.
ATTORNEY—LIPA/Keyspan agreement signed by everyone except LIPA.
